Saathi of Rochester is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is run solely by a group of dedicated volunteers. We help South Asian men, women and children who may be facing domestic abuse including physical, verbal, economical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse.We provide a full range of confidential and comprehensive services.
Many of our Advocates, who are also volunteers, have undergone intensive training of more than 50 hours to be certified as domestic violence counselors. Our volunteers, like our clients, are from different parts of the world, including India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the U.S. and therefore, many of our volunteers speak one or more South Asian languages, including English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Urdu, Gorkhi, Punjabi and Gujarati, to name a few.
We are committed to the confidentiality of our clients and those who reach out to us on behalf of them. We work tirelessly to ensure that a client becomes self-sufficient and will work diligently with every client till this goal is accomplished.
