Saathi’s 8th Anniversary and Annual Banquet

On Saturday, April 28, 2012 SAATHI will be celebrating its 8th Anniversary at a banquet at the India Community Center at 2171 Monroe Wayne County Town Line Road, Macedon, NY 14502. The celebrations begin at 6 PM.

This banquet is SAATHI’s main event to raise funds for providing various types of help to victims of domestic violence in the South Asian community.

We celebrate the work of SAATHI in empowering clients by giving them not only the needed emotional support but also by helping them in financial, legal and immigration matters.

SAATHI and its advocates also work in the prevention of violence against women in our community. As in past years SAATHI continues to pursue educating our community against violence through speakers, art forms like drama and videos. One such video was Breakthrough’s "Bell Bajao” (ring the bell) campaign supporting the idea of community participation in preventing violence against women. In the end, the community has to decide whether violence is acceptable or not.
